Coaching is all about YOU. It's a process designed to help you reach your goals, achieve your dreams and untap your potential. Coaching gives meaning to Dr. Seuss's book Oh The Places You'll Go. Coaching is a powerful one-on-one relationship that focuses on bringing out your best.

Are you seeking a promotion in your company? Do you want to take your business to the next level? To achieve what you want requires making some changes in what you do. That's where the coach enters into your life. One of the principles that guides my work is change happens faster and easier in the context of a coaching relationship. A coach champions your efforts in getting what you want.

Coaching in the business world is a new trend that has grown by leaps and bounds in the last few years. It's in demand by organizations, business owners and individuals who are forward thinking and want to be on the leading edge. For years athletes have used coaches to reach the top of their game. Are your goals any less important?

The purpose of coaching is to enhance your professional and personal effectiveness. Successful people are continually investing in their own growth and development. Learning how to manage yourself is key to managing your career, your business or your personal life.

"Recent studies show business coaching and executive coaching to be the most effective means for achieving sustainable growth, change and development in the individual, group and organization." - HR Monthly

How does coaching work?

We start with a FREE 30 minute assessment to determine if we are a good match for coaching. This is extremely important because coaching is a relationship built on mutual trust and respect. If we decide we can work together we proceed.

Our next step consists of an in depth interview where we assess your strengths, values, the environment you work in, your stumbling blocks, goals and success stories. I believe your past accomplishments are stepping-stones to your future success. I use proven assessment tools like the DiSC, Meyers-Briggs Indicator, or FIRO-B to help you understand your uniqueness. The assessment is an inside out approach to helping you achieve what you want.

The information gathered during the assessment serves two purposes. It helps me get to know you and it gives you the opportunity to review and acknowledge your past accomplishments. I find this is a valuable exercise for my clients. For many it's the first time they've spent reflecting on their past successes. The assessment is what makes coaching such an individualized process.

Now the real coaching begins. After clarifying your goals and creating an action plan you are ready to move forward. We also establish a baseline so we can measure your progress as the coaching continues. Having a plan isn't the same as working the plan. My role is to help you work your plan and be accountable for reaching your goals. The accountability factor is what makes coaching such a powerful resource.

Finally, we will continually monitor and evaluate your progress and make necessary adjustments as needed. Your success is the focus and heart of coaching.

Our confidential coaching is done face-to-face or via the telephone with email accessibility between sessions. Sessions are scheduled based on your needs and availability. Some clients prefer half-hour weekly sessions. Others want one-hour bi-weekly sessions. A few clients prefer having a once a month coaching session.

Most of our clients commit to three to six months of coaching. Again, it depends on your specific needs and want. Clients have continued for up to two years because they find real value in having a "personal" board of directors.

"Coaching is about the bone-deep desire to make a difference, whether in the life of one person, a group or an entire organization." - Robert Hargrove, Masterful Coaching

Your Role

Coaching requires time, energy and a personal investment to make it work. You need to be committed to your own success. What does that look like? You complete assignments between the coaching sessions, show up prepared for the session, set aside uninterrupted time, and be open to new possibilities. It's a small price to pay for achieving what you want.

"It is never too late to be what you might have been." George Eliot

My Role

My work is guided by the belief that we are all capable of achieving more than we imagine possible. Coaching lets me see your potential even when you don't. You can depend on me to champion your efforts. As your coach you can count on me to show up on time, be a committed listener, offer collaborative strategies, cheer you on, give you honest feedback, challenge you to stretch, keep you focused and most importantly, ask you questions to promote new possibilities. I am dedicated to your success.
